Lilis Setyawati began her career in the film industry in 2021 as a Production Assistant for the documentary “Banda Dari Dekat Sekali”, a collaboration between Ruang Basbeth Bercerita and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia (KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK). In 2022, she continued her journey in the film industry by joining the finance team for the film “SARA” at Bosan Berisik Lab.

Beyond the film industry, in February 2023, Lilis ventured into entrepreneurship by co-founding Maryamku Frozen Snacks, an eco-friendly frozen snack brand, together with her business partner, Lyza Anggraheni.

In 2024, Lilis was selected as one of the participants of the Reel Life Film Camp Netflix workshop, in collaboration with the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF), marking an important step in the development of her career in the film industry.
